





Alisa TenHoopen
Alisa TenHoopen was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in a family of parent educators, she watched her father fight for teacher rights in Detroit Public Schools. This observation was Alisa’s motivation and seed of passion for education. She has earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Natural Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Her Masters degree in Educational Leadership was earned through Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fowler Weinwright International Institute of Professional Coaching issued Alisa her certification in Life Coaching.
Alisa’s instructional experience has been in urban and suburban traditional public and charter school systems. Throughout her years of instruction, she has been awarded greatly by parents, students, colleagues, and the community. Staff and Student votes have acknowledged Alisa for Teacher Initiative Award, Outstanding Involvement, Outstanding School Participation, and Favorite Teacher. Dow Corning Corporation and DAPCEP awarded Alisa as, “Teacher who most inspires students to pursue science and mathematics”. She was given a Certificate of Recognition from Robert Ficano, Wayne County Executive. As a first year administrator, Alisa received rave reviews from a state representative for the Freshman Academy at MTA High School. Lastly, the NCA Acknowledgement Award for Outstanding QAR Participation was issued to her.

Andie Hill
Andie Hill was born and raised in Bend, Oregon. Andie received her Bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resources and Biblical Studies at Corban University. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She has a successful decade of experience in Human Resources (HR) and Management. Her extensive HR background includes experience in employee recruitment and retention, staff development, mediation, conflict resolution, benefits and compensation, HR records management, HR policies development and legal compliance. Andie has been progressive in employee management, developing teambuilding programs, writing personnel manuals, corporate policies, and job descriptions.
Her philosophy is that focused employees and a purpose driven work environment make for a phenomenal business. It is her goal to see Scholarship Educational Services employees not survive but thrive. Andie specializes in what she loves; working with people!

Her favorite quote is written by Thomas Foxwell Buxton who once said, "With ordinary talent and extraordinary perseverance, all things are attainable." Cecilia Holland
Cecilia Holland was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Cecilia is a proud graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Cecilia has a passion for working with children and families. Her time spent in education focused on behavior modification and family resourcing. She attended Professional Developments conducted by Macomb ISD that enhanced her services to expand from classroom management to domestic abuse. As a licensed Social Worker with the state of Michigan, she has many years of experience in helping people in the areas of education, healthy living, and accountability. Cecilia has a multi-faceted career in Social Work. She has also worked with the developmentally disabled in community case management and has a background in medical social work in long term care (nursing homes/rehab centers).
Cecilia taught first and second grade at the Academy of Oak Park- Marlow for several years. She also worked in the school library as the librarian who promoted reading and held reading time groups for lower elementary students. She is an avid poet and is a nationally trained literacy volunteer.
Cecilia enjoys travel, genealogy, and has a strong interest in American history. She is a member of several local and national historic preservation groups.

Shelley Chuhran
Shelly Chuhran was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Shelly earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Oakland University. Her Masters in Reading and Language Arts, with Reading Specialist endorsement was also earned at Oakland University. Shelly is currently a student at Michigan State University obtaining her second Masters in Educational Technology. Her educational background has been the backbone of her success in the classroom and as a school organizational guru.
Shelly’s experience organizing has led to the implementation of multiple Science initiatives. The Science Club, the Science Olympiad, Science Days, and organizing school-wide Science Fairs are just a few programs she initiated and completed successfully. Her scholars have gone on to place and receive outstanding designation at the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit.
Shelly has been responsible for the duties of a Title I Literacy Teacher, community involvement, college readiness, and educational reform. She designed and implemented a school-wide Service Learning Program by partnering with the teacher education departments at area universities, bringing volunteer students in for added instructional development and mentoring through classroom experience. She is also trained as a Lead Evaluator for the AdvancEd school accreditation process, and has worked with the NCA on QAR teams.
She is organized. She is detail oriented. She is confident. She is uniquely focused. Shelly is adamant about reconstructing the educational approach nationwide.
Sharon Cook
Sharon Cook was born in Warren, Michigan, but grew up in Chelsea, Michigan. As she was growing up, she had a sister with multiple birth defects and learning issues which inspired her to enter special education. She earned her Bachelors’ in Learning Disabilities at Madonna University K-8 and Elementary Education K-5 any grade any subject. She returned to Eastern Michigan University to obtain her Reading Endorsement and to expand her Learning Disabilities Certificate to K-12. She has obtained her Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement K-12 and is currently one capstone away from obtaining her Masters in Autism Spectrum Disorder K-12.
Sharon has 15 years teaching experience. She has served as School Principal. Sharon also chaired Accreditation Committee, developed curriculum K-12, trained school staff, and worked with families on needs assessments and placement into the school. She helped to establish this school for special education students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disabled, cognitively impaired, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and emotionally impaired. She was responsible for all student IEP’s, cognitive and achievement testing, as well as teaching in various subject areas: Remedial Writing/Literature, Remedial & Basic Math, PreAlgebra-Algebra II, Natural Science, Biology, Earth Science, and Advanced Placement Physics. Sharon is an experienced and successful teaching professional with a passion for Special Education and student development.
